The Ballston Area Community Center’s School Age Child Care Program is licensed by the New York State Office of Children and Family Services. The Before and After-School Programs are designed for children who live in the Ballston Spa School District. The School Age Child Care Program strives to meet the needs of children at various stages of development by creating an environment that is relaxed and home like, fostering independence, cooperation and self-control.

 


Enrollment Policy:

Enrollment is offered in the following order:

  1. To existing participants,
  2. The established waiting list
  3. To the general public.

Enrollment capacities are dictated by the Office of Children and Family Services.

Enrollment Requirements include:

  1. Complete BACC Application
  2. Current Physical and Immunization Forms
  3. Payment of Registration Fee
  4. Payment of First Month’s Tuition

Eligibility

Curriculum

The daily schedule is structured so that it allows a choice of wide range developmentally appropriate activities. There is a balance of active and passive structure, providing opportunities for children to pursue particular interests and develop individual abilities.

SACC Mission

To create an environment of safety and support which promotes the social and emotional enrichment of children through providing quality child care and opportunities which strengthen the family unit, without regard to socio/economic background.

As the childcare director at the Ballston Area Community Center, Jessica Bradley has been with BACC for four years. Jessica began as a ‘site supervisor’ before being promoted to director of school aged childcare and summer camp programs. Jessica holds a bachelor’s degree in childhood education from the College of Saint Rose. Jessica truly enjoys working with our fantastic team to provide leadership and positive guidance for all children at the BACC. When Jessica is not at BACC she enjoys cooking, spending time outdoors, and traveling.
