Volunteer

Volunteers are the heart of the Ballston Area Community Center. Their time, energy, and dedication help us strengthen our programs and better serve the community every day. From supporting seasonal initiatives to lending a hand with daily operations, volunteers play a vital role in making our mission possible.

Whether it’s helping with yard beautification in the spring and fall, snow plowing in the winter, or stepping in for special events and fundraising efforts, there are always opportunities to get involved and make a meaningful impact.

We welcome volunteers of all backgrounds and skill sets, and applications are reviewed on a regular basis. If you’re looking for a way to give back, grow personally, or connect with your neighbors, we encourage you to explore how you can volunteer with us.

Seasonal Grounds and Maintenance Support

Help us keep the Ballston Area Community Center safe, welcoming, and beautiful year-round!  Whether you’re raking leaves in the fall, planting flowers in the spring, or clearing snow in the winter, your time and effort make a visible difference for everyone who walks through our doors.  These roles are perfect for individuals, families, scout troops, civic groups, or anyone looking to give back while enjoying the outdoors.

Community Information Sessions

Have a skill or passion you’d like to share? Whether it’s finance, resume building, wellness, cooking, crafting or another area of interest, you can make a big impact by leading a one-time (or short-term) workshop. These volunteer-led sessions help educate while also connecting members of the community. We also offer paid opportunities to lead community education classes!

Special Events & Fundraising

Throughout the year, BACC participates in a variety of community events, both on-site and at off-site locations where we represent the organization. Volunteers play a key role by assisting with setup and cleanup, guest check-in, activity stations, food service, and more. Shifts are flexible, and every role contributes to making our events successful and welcoming for all.

General Center Support

There’s always something happening at BACC! Volunteers may assist with organizing supplies, prepping materials for youth programs, light cleaning, or front desk tasks. These opportunities are great for those who want to help but prefer to stay indoors or work more quietly behind the scenes. BACC works with volunteers and formal job training and internship programs to offer worksite experiences for teens and adults.
